Updating the information in the table

We have more updated information with us. It has 2019 data according to the Power ministry. We must update the table so as to reflect the latest progress made. Therefore I propose that we update the data as per https://saubhagya.gov.in/ data. Trojanishere (talk) 11:24, 29 August 2019 (UTC)Trojanishere[reply]

I have corrected the title of the second column to accurately reflect the Census and fixed some of the wrong figures and rankings for some States. Shankargopal (talk) 09:44, 4 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Gujarat is unlikely to have achieved 100% electrification of households, as can be gleaned from this link [1]. Sreekumarkv (talk) 13:22, 4 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop the repeated false edits claiming that Gujarat has 100% electrification of households. Neither of the two cited sources for this table says any such thing. If you are going to make such edits, at least cite a source for them. The NFHS-3 survey says that 89% of households in Gujarat are electrified and the Census data says that 90% of households use electricity as their primary source of lighting. These are the correct figures and place Gujarat at approximately the tenth position out of the States in the country.Shankargopal (talk) 10:28, 30 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Corrected misleading "100%" data for Andhra Pradesh, Kerala and Gujarat - in all three cases cited sources for "100%" referred to 100% of villages, not households (it is possible for a village to be considered "electrified" even if only 10% of the houses in it have connections - see this link [2]. Ranking

On what basis is the ranking arrived at? It appears to bear no relationship to either of the columns showing percentage figures. As all the columns are now sortable, can the "Ranking" column not be removed? Skinsmoke (talk) 17:07, 27 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Column removed.Shankargopal (talk) 17:10, 28 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
