Question About "Redirect"

Could someone here please explain to me why, when I type "Zerin" on the search grid, I am redirected to this page? What is the connection?Davidbena (talk) 21:43, 24 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

#R Zerin exists because of the minor planet 121232 Zerin (also a redirect to the list of minor planets). About 6 years ago, PotatoBot created a large number of "name-only" redirects for minor planets with {{R from short name}}, including this one here. Rfassbind – talk 01:03, 25 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
