Peaks - or hills?

The Peak District is an area not known for peaks so much as extensive areas of high ground, often plateau-like in nature -the highest of them all exemplifies the character more than most - Kinder Scout's highest point is a low rise, hardly a 'peak' in the commonly accepted sense of the word. Re-titling this article 'Hills of the Peak District' or restricting it to just those eminences which are peak-like in nature would make more sense. The latter approach would be tricky - where would you draw the line? - and a shortish list to boot. cheers Geopersona (talk) 05:34, 10 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Pike Low(s)

I have added the Pike Low which overlooks Langsett, and marked the other one as (Derwent). The Derwent one has a cairn on top, for which there is an entry in the official on-line list of ancient monuments (uninformative, in this case). The Langsett one has a ruined erection of some sort on top, but I can find no information about it. --Martin Wyatt (talk) 12:22, 29 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
