Continental choices
Why is Armenia class as in Europe when it is an Asian country? Also the majority of Russia and Turkey is in Asia so their higher than average death rates are greatly increasing the averages for Europe. Salty1984 (talk) 12:00, 7 April 2020 (UTC)
Source for deaths per VKT
There is a comment in reference to the "Road fatalities per 1 billion vehicle miles traveled" that says "Use ONLY the vehicle kilometres (million) figure by every country in order to calculate it, and not the calculated rate by irtad!"
Why? I checked a few of these, and they match the rate in the IRTAD report, and the cited report doesn't have "vehicle kilometres (million)" figures.
I added the figure for South Korea, assuming it was ok to just use the number from the IRTAD report. TChapProctor (talk) 20:20, 8 January 2021 (UTC)
Right now the only per VKT numbers that don't match the cited IRTAD report are Sweden (we have 3.8, IRTAD has 3.3) and UK (missing for 2016 in the IRTAD report, has 3.8 for 2010)
I'm inclined to remove that comment, as it's just confusing.

on the map Crimea colored as Russian territory
I don't think it's correct to color Crimea as Russian territory 2A02:8388:27C1:3080:5026:DFA0:AC9C:B5E8 (talk) 14:59, 20 July 2023 (UTC)
- I tend to agree with you, however, Crimea is currently under Russian control, so, from that point of view, you can argue that Russia is responsible for what is happening there. Dhrm77 (talk) 11:27, 5 April 2024 (UTC)
Column "per 100,000 cars" removed
Why was this removed? While "per 100,000 inhabitants" is a good measure when it comes to evaluating how people die, "per 100,000 cars" is a better measure to evaluate how safe vehicles or road are. I think this should be brought back. Even if the data is from a report from different time period, as long as each source is clearly mentioned, the data can be useful.
