Scope & title

This should probably be framed as a list of flags which incorporate the Union Jack/Flag, not a list of countries and territories. --Paul_012 (talk) 18:15, 4 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

There are a number of government and military organizations, mostly in the UK, that use the Union Jack. Do you propose that we expand the scope of this list to include those? Ibadibam (talk) 01:00, 5 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Shouldn't British Raj be added to the list

Well given the british direct rule under the crown on India before 1947, shouldn't it be added to the list also? (Sufyanxtreme (talk) 8:24, 17 January 2018 (UTC))

Expanding on the former section

There are a lot of territories under the empire which aren't represented on this list. Maybe it should be added.

Newfoundland

I'm a little perplexed by the inclusion of Newfoundland on this page. The flag is designed to *resemble* the Union Flag, yes, but it doesn't *incorporate* it. I think it should be removed. Thoughts? Jamboy (talk) 15:23, 4 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Last country to remove Union Jack from flag

Implication that Commonwealth realms are not independent.

The fact that Australia, New Zealand, the UK and Tuvalu are not listed under "Independent countries" (as Fiji is) seems to imply that these countries are not truly independent. Describing them separately from Fiji as Commonwealth countries is also inaccurate, as Fiji is a Commonwealth country, but not a Commonwealth realm.

I think a more accurate way to convey this information would be to list the all independent nations in one table, and then maybe a highlighting for those that are also Commonwealth realms (or the reverse).

Not only that, Cook Islands and Niue are part of the Realm of New Zealand, but are not territories of New Zealand, they are independent Realm Countries, ther is no dispute about this, but both countries are not fully recognized, internationally.
