(about Spencer's theory that Scots came from Africa:) --91.148.159.4 10:55, 20 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This theory is partially supported by modern day genetic analysis, insofar as Basques and Scots (along with Irish, Portuguese, Welsh and Dutch) have a high frequency of some very ancient Y-chromosomal lineages [citation needed].

And they are of Berber origin.

This should probably be deleted

Footnote 4 says: "^ Sarton in Isis 4.2 (October 1921:378-380). This is clearly a reference to Grafton Elliot Smith and not to Lewis Spence"

As the referenced text is referring to a Prof. Smith, not to Lewis Spence himself as erroneously mentioned in the text, I suggest this part of the text should be deleted as it has no relevance whatsoever.2A02:1811:B214:CA00:B839:5FD6:9840:30A6 (talk) 14:39, 18 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
