Grande Chirurgie

According to Davis, the above book, though written in 1578 was first published in Lyon in 1580. In fact, it's not clear where that list refers to date written and where to date published. At first I assumed it refers to date written, but then I saw that one is dated 1603, after Joubert had died. Erreurs part 1 seems to have been published in 1579 and part 2 in 1580. I'm not clear if Question vulgaire is the second part of Erreurs, which was published in Paris in 1580 as Segonde Partie des Erreurs populaires et propos vulgaires, touchant le Medecine et le regime de santé. The title Question vulgaire raises my eyebrow, being that it's singular. qp10qp (talk) 19:58, 30 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I think it's unclear what was published when. Probably best to find the best source and stick with that. What I wrote may need careful checking. Some things will also have different editions, which may be very different from each other. What is needed is for someone to get hold of the books on the bibliography page on the "Joubert" website I linked to. That would probably have answers. Or maybe some French language sources?
