What about lamina propria of blood vessels?

Why is there no lamina propria in the skin but there is lamina propria in the oral cavity? where is the demarcation?Andrei A A (talk) 13:16, 6 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • The skin is the integumentary system, while the oral cavity is part of the digestive system. 66.215.179.199 (talk) 14:56, 3 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Muscularis mucosae

"The lamina propria (more correctly lamina propria mucosæ) is a thin layer of loose connective tissue which lies beneath the epithelium and together with the epithelium constitutes the mucosa." Shouldn't this read: "The lamina propria (more correctly lamina propria mucosæ) is a thin layer of loose connective tissue which lies beneath the epithelium and together with the epithelium, its ground substance, and the muscularis mucosae constitutes the mucosa." ? 66.215.179.199 (talk) 14:58, 3 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

equivalent?

Is the lamina propria an equivalent of the basal lamina in mucosae? Thanks for the clarity 195.202.218.44 (talk) 10:02, 3 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
