Article redirect

@Spicemix: - Hi. I'm not sure I agree with the article name redirect for this. The justification in the edit history is because the publications list him as LP Wenham... well yes, of course they do, that's just the naming tradition of writing articles in the mid-20th century. He was actually known as Peter Wenham to most people during his lifetime, or his full name in formal situations. I don't think MOS:INITIALS applies when we are talking about names as the title of published articles. Zakhx150 (talk) 10:36, 18 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Zakhx150: Thanks for this thoughtful reply. I think we should go with the name that is associated with his notability: he has a place in WP for his professional work, not for his personal relations or the name on his passport, etc. As I understand it this is the WP:COMMONNAME policy that gives us for example A. J. P. Taylor, C. S. Lewis and L. P. Hartley. I hope that makes sense. Spicemix (talk) 13:55, 18 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
