Merger?

Please don't merge this article! There is a significant difference between a Kusudama and Modular origami; they are historically distinct objects. A kusudama is much older, and is put together by stringing the units together with thread and needle, wheras modular origami usually employs the insertion of flaps into slits and pockets created by the folding process. Under modern terms, kusudamas would not be considered as origami by many due to the fact that they require the paper to be modified (other that folding it of course).
