"Tearing quad" is still listed as a finishing move; it would be ideal to remove this. McPhail 16:39, 7 September 2005 (UTC)
This being protection or tearing quad? --Phroziac (talk) 17:33, September 7, 2005 (UTC)
Tearing quad. The protection should stay.

One of the worst crowd drawing champions?

"Unfortunately, Kevin Nash's reign as WWF Champion is considered a failure. He is actually one of the worst crowd drawing champions of all time and is often compared to The Ultimate Warriors failed title reign in 1990." An anonymous user has added those two lines a while ago. Sounds rather peculiar to me, as Nash was a very succesful wrestler when he joined WCW and drew a lot of crowd to their shows, and I certainly don't think that he would have held his WWF title for almost a year if he was such a bad crowd draw. Unless someone here has any proofs to those claims, I'll revert the article to the previous version. (DuDe)

WWF was doing very bad business while he was champion, although whether this is due to Nash is a different question. Certainly not encyclopedic to have that line.
Lakes 11:30, 12 October 2005 (UTC)
Fair enough, I have removed those two lines. DuDe 13:03, 12 October 2005 (UTC)

As Lakes say's, WWF was in a slump. It was usual WWF policy (when they still focused on one top man) to slump the blame on the champ. As for his reign length, everyone seems to hate Cena, yet they let him have it for almost a year. Halb

The comment was from a Jim Cornette interview where he recounted a conversation that someone, I believe it was Jerry Brisco, had with Nash. Nash had complained about being paid less than previous World Champions, and Jerry told him that he was their lowest drawing champion ever. Matt

He's 6'10. 6'11 tops

Looking at Photo comparisons between Nash and Big Show, Show has about 2 inches on Nash, and Show is about 7ft tall give or take a half inch. (Show's Wichita state University team listed him at 6'11 at age 20). Given this, it seems that Kevin Nash is likely about 6'10. and probably 7ft tall in boots. --63.224.226.148 03:13, 18 February 2006 (UTC)

I would say possibly more than 2inches, mabbe three? http://mysite.wanadoo-members.co.uk/wwfmi/showthen271012.jpg. If Show is a legit 6'11", Nash has to be no more than 6'9". His own website contradicts itself over his height.(Halbared 08:55, 26 May 2006 (UTC))

Super Shredder

One actingitem says:

Nash is frequently credited as having portrayed "Super Shredder" in the movie Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze. The role of Super Shredder was actually played by Tyler Mane. Ironically, Mane was Nash's tag team partner as half of the Master Blasters.

Anyone got a source on that? Because both IMDB and the Official TMNT Website credit Nash. I've deleted this trivia until someone finds a source equally reliable for it. -- Ritchy 00:33, 6 March 2006 (UTC)

I don't think you can get much more creditable than an official website. The deleted sentances in question, are lies. Plain and simple. SilentRage 13:00, 23 July 2006 (UTC)

I also thought he was credited in the actual film as well. --IrwinRShyster

Kevin Nash did play Super Shredder in the TMNT II movie. He is credited in the end of the film. I have viewed the credits and sure enough it lists Kevin Nash as Super shredder

Whose reaction?

Under the WWE subheader, the following statement was there: "The first reason was that Hulk Hogan's reaction to his WrestleMania X8 match against The Rock in Toronto prompted his return to his old babyface, yellow and red persona." Obviously, it's missing the word "fan", as in his unexpected fan reaction was the reason for this. The reaction was overwhelmingly pro-Hogan that the Rock was booed for probably the first time ever since his successful 'Rock' character. Not even when he wrestled Steve Austin was he booed like this. I added the word 'fan' just to clarify.--SlightlyInsane 01:09, 18 October 2006 (UTC)

Nash Trivia

The WWE On a link on their webpage (http://www.wwe.com/subscriptions/247online/wrestlemania/?cid=wwe247mar07-06) say that the beating that nash recieved at the hands of the uundertaker at wrestlmania was so stiff that this was the reason that Nash was not seen in the WWE for a long time. This is actually untrue as the reason Nash was not seen was thatbhe was on WCW during this time.I feel that a hading TRIVIA should be on the page, reporting various bits like this. What is the general Opinion?? Nash is under contract to TNA still

Don't edit it out or say he's not under contract, he's got creative control and the contract he signed is not due to expire, he just wants to wrestle again. Guns2006 14:02, 13 October 2007 (UTC)

Birthplace

The lead paragraph states he was born in Detroit, Michigan. The first paragraph after that says he was born in Trenton, Michigan. Which is it? Is there a source for either? Gavyn Sykes 22:14, 19 October 2007 (UTC)

Kevin Nash is Jewish?

I noticed that he is tagged under "Jewish Professional Wrestlers". Is this correct? He certainly doesn't seem Jewish to me (and Nash isn't a Jewish surname). Is there a source for this anywhere? 68.146.253.197 01:33, 26 October 2007 (UTC)

confirmation

on Nash's official website, it mentions the OZ character, and states that Dusty Rhodes personally thought it was a great idea is this for real, or is Nash just bitter about being saddled with a ridiculous gimmick? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.235.162.134 (talk) 23:31, 29 November 2008 (UTC)

Moves section..

Is it really necessary to repeat the common moves he used between all gimmicks, like the big boot and walking side slam? Seems like you could include a general list under current gimmick and then only list unique moves under the others, since his moveset has changed very little over the years. Also, I distinctly remember his PPV debut as Oz where they referred to the helicopter crucifix toss as the "Oz Twister"... Enigmatic2k3 (talk) 15:25, 20 March 2009 (UTC)

Nash and Tyler Mane

"He was the first choice for the role of Sabretooth in X-Men, but the role ultimately went to his former tag team partner Tyler Mane."

Tyler Mane wasn't Nash's partner in the Master Blasters. Nash has been mis-identified as working as Nitron (a role that Mane had). Unless Big Sky and Vinnie Vegas teamed in 1992, I'm suspecting that we should cut "his former tag team partner" from that sentence. --RobbieFal (talk) 21:06, 14 December 2009 (UTC)

His 2003 theme?

Can anyone confirm if the name of his 2003 entrance music is 'Jacknife'? It's this video:

Signed to WWE?

The intro paragraph states he is currently signed to WWE, the main body of the article states he isn't. I'll remove it from the intro as it seems to be a proper release, not storyline, but someone more knowledgable of the industry may know otherwise. BulbaThor (talk) 21:34, 16 September 2011 (UTC)

Sounds good. I wouldn't be surprised if it is a storyline but we have to treat it as legitimate until such time as reputable sources state otherwise. ŞůṜīΣĻ¹98¹Speak 21:53, 16 September 2011 (UTC)
His appearance at Night of Champions shows/suggests he is with the company, but without a source stating as such, does it count as OR? I reverted an unsourced edit stating he was with the company because I hadn't seen NoC, but it seems a bit daft. BulbaThor (talk) 15:46, 19 September 2011 (UTC)
The source provided in the head, once again claims he signed a 5 year Legends deal. Unless you can find a source that claims that that contract is now null, he should be acknowledged as an employee. All evidence points to him being with the company as of that contract signing. The burden of proof is on the person who claims that he is no longer signed. No matter what happens in the storyline, that's the contract that's truly in effect. NJZombie (talk) 20:39, 19 September 2011 (UTC)
Fair enough, I assumed he was signed but this appearing a couple of days after his 'sacking' on TV made me unsure. I'm not sure which source is more recent, as the source in the head doesn't appear to be dated, but like I said, appearing at NoC would lead to the assumption the WWE source is keyfabe anyway. BulbaThor (talk) 21:57, 19 September 2011 (UTC)
Not really relevant which one is later considering the true contract is the 5 year Legends deal and the other one ran concurrent with a storyline firing. He was already signed to the real contract long before he claimed he was hired in the story. NJZombie (talk) 22:19, 19 September 2011 (UTC)

Just how tall is Nash?

I noticed several recent entries to this page that changed how tall Nash really is. I made an edit (the latest as of right now) that reflected what his official website says (the FAQ on his official website has as it's first question that he is 6'11. However, I visited the TNA profile link at the bottom of the page and they list his height as 7'0. So, who's right? I'd say that his official page should be the most reliable, but TNA may have measured him at some point to come up with what they have. Eric42 04:00, 13 February 2006 (UTC)

His website also gives his height as 6'10". [1]. He's unlikely to be any taller than 6'11", because wrestlers often exaggerate their height. McPhail 18:32, 13 February 2006 (UTC)

K Nash legit height is 6,9(Powerslam magazine). He has been led to the ring at anything between 6'9 and 7feet in his career. In his first appearance on WWF telly, they actually put him at 6'9. He soon 'grew' to be 7feet in subsequent shows. Halb

Kevin Nash is about 6'11 1/2. Look at his photos compared to the Big Show, he's almost right up there with him. His height should be changed to being 6'11 1/2. Son of Kong 47:1, 5 August 2006

Nash is clearly 2 - 2.5" shorter than the Big Show. In the old face offs with Show he had to look up dramatically to meet the Big Show eye-to-eye. In fact, I believe Big Show himself to currently stand only 6'11.5" in bare feet, though he is still over 7 feet in footware. Manssiere

Nash claimed 6´9" on twitter and during the mid nineties 6´10" meeting fans "on the road". Even that could be height in footwear since he didn't look more than 6´9" next to 7´2" Kareem Abdul Jabbar mid nineties and only about an inch taller than his tag team Partner 6´8" Tyler Mane. Mane claimed 6´8" outside the ring and was billed 6´10" in WCW. Nash was billed 6´11" in WCW. Seems like the usual 2" wrestling exaggeration. Paul Wight looked 2.5" taller than Nash in WCW but had bigger soled boots, watch The Giant vs Loch Ness and look how big his soles are, nearly 2". Big Show was about 6´11" in WCW and is 6´10" today - Watch YouTube ESPY red carpet Big Show challenging 7´0.5"-7´1" Shaquille O´Neal, Big Show is maximum 6´10" today. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 149.238.52.135 (talk) 11:27, 1 October 2016 (UTC)
