"Because of the particular culture of the research community that has been developing this approach..." What does this mean? It sounds like there are some politics going on, and maybe if someone else had been doing the work, they would have pursued some other approach? (OK, I guess that's likely in any case. But the "culture" reference seems odd, almost POV.) Mcswell 19:14, 2 August 2007 (UTC)

- Absolutely, the Kernel trick article must be merged with the general kernel methods article. It makes no sense to have a separate article. The sooner the better. Jerappelle (talk) 01:54, 20 March 2014 (UTC)
