I have been commissioned by the family of John Wilson McConnell and by the J.W. McConnell Family Foundation to write a biography of him. At the moment, I have completed my research and am working with a publisher. The entry on him I think is extremely accurate for the most part. But I am surprised by the reference to his relationship with the labour movement, and by the reference to the Foundation and the CSQ. My understanding is that he was almost totally hostile to unions, and I have never seen any material to suggest otherwise. I have also been able to learn from the Foundation of any link between it and the CSQ. If the writer(s) of the entry could enlighten me on the source(s) for these references, I should be most grateful.
