Allegation and legend concerning the death of William III
It was alleged by William III's Jacobite opponents that William III was riding Sir John Friend's horse, after Friend's execution, which stumbled over a molehill, causing the King's death. Supporters of the Jacobite cause believed this to have been the Judgement of God against an illegitimate king. 81.139.225.10 (talk) 23:55, 5 September 2022 (UTC)
