Vocal range
Does anybody have any refs which discuss Vogl's vocal range, vocal weight etc? To be able to sing both Orestes (high baritone) and Pizarro (bass-baritone) is pretty unusual. Furthermore the keys Schubert published Winterreise in are - to put it mildly - fairly lofty for a baritone: many songs go up to G, a few to G#, one has an optional A: presumably these were the keys that Vogl performed the cycle in? Thanks for any help! almost-instinct 17:19, 14 January 2009 (UTC)
