I don't think readers will be confused by the use of "Italian"; the topic makes no sense referring to anything other than the Italian state. On the other hand, "soft power of..." becomes decreasingly useful as a search formula the more entries are added to it, since readers are far more likely to search for the name of a country than for a term that could apply to dozens of them: Republic of Italy, earthquakes on Malta, etc. This is not to say that it is a bad title; just that it might be harder to find if more such articles are created, as we can reasonably anticipate over time. Standardization is not always necessary; I doubt whether much can be determined about the usefulness of different formulations from a "litmus test" at this stage. I'm with P Aculeius. I see no reason to move this, and don't find "Soft power of Italy" more clear; if anything, it's less idiomatic. But that doesn't mean I think it's worth changing "Soft power of China" either. -- asilvering (talk) 23:07, 29 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
