Birth year

Some sources like Allmusic and the Jewish Lives Project state that he was born (as Benjamin Levin[e]) in 1893, but other sources like Richard Anthony Baker and Roy Busby give 1903. The latter date seems to be correct - his GRO death records state 1903, and there is a Benjamin Levin born that year in Whitechapel according to official birth records. It's also confirmed in the 1939 Register - Benjamin [Issy] Levin, born 21 April 1903, "artiste", living with his wife and son in Solihull. Ghmyrtle (talk) 21:10, 2 August 2022 (UTC)
