  1. I don't have statistics, but the IPS employs 7791 people. That could give some idea as to how many prisoners it has.
  2. Depends on what you define as political, but it isn't likely that statistics about something like this exist. I am fairly sure anyhow that not that many prisoners were arrested merely for a political activity, and those are mostly extreme-right Jews from the settler movement. Others who might be called 'political prisoners' were arrested for violence, rioting, etc. and this includes many Arabs and left-wingers. Finally, I am not taking into account Palestinian prisoners because the laws that apply in their case are a bit different and since they're (usually) citizens of the PA, they don't count as political prisoners. I believe the total amount is up to 5,000 Palestinian prisoners in IPS prisons, not including detention centers. —Ynhockey (Talk) 16:02, 3 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
