Talk:Institutional discrimination

I do not personally disagree that the examples cited are discriminating. However, it feels inherently POV to have what is essentially a "list of cases of discrimination"; I suspect that the creator's goal was to voice a protest against the Kentucky decision which Wikipedia is not for. Can it be salvaged and made encyclopedic? With this title I doubt it, but let's try some discussion before I prod it. Henning Makholm 20:49, 18 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I agree

This page was created rather hap-hazardly. More examples need to be included. They need to refer to ethnic discrimination, and any other types of discrimination that can be thought of.

Complete rewrite or deletion?

The article is written poorly and in a negative way. Institutionalized discrimination is also used as a vehicle for female members of the society to have a better chance at getting top positions in politics and company boards. While I think that is negative, for example Dutch society sees this as a way to level the field and bring the female representation to a number closer to 50%.
