Misunderstanding

I have moved this article back to its original concept as an essay. "Inside the Whale" is, and was, always an essay - published in book form and later included in other works. Don't have time to go through the rest of the article for the moment to check for accuracy, but the lead must be clear on that point.--Technopat (talk) 18:44, 7 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • It isn't that important but I think there should be two articles - Inside The Whale , - the collection of three of his essays brought out by Gollancz in 1940 - and then this article which should be Inside The Whale (essay) - not the two articles which exist at the moment, Inside The Whale and Inside The Whale and other essays Sayerslle (talk) 07:12, 22 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
    • It isnt that important and it should not be a problem if the links between the articles are effective. "Inside the Whale and Other Essays" is an both an exact title for one instantiation and a satisfactory description for the two others. However Orwell did not ever call his essay "Inside the Whale (essay)". In the last 30 days there were 561 hits for the essay and 225 for the collection which suggests the essay should have the simpler title. Motmit (talk) 17:57, 22 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • I thought it was like 'Sunflowers (painting)' - more what wp calls things than what the creators call things - Inside the whale and other essays is not the exact title 'for one instantiation' (?), of the work that Gollancz published in 1940 - I don't think number of views should decide whether something is correct is not.
