Moved as proposed; topic with a single blue link, and a single possibly alternative topic with no resolution as to the likely different spelling after an extended wait. The disambiguation page will be eradicated, and its function carried out by a hatnote. bd2412 T 17:02, 22 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Inguraidhoo (Raa Atoll)Inguraidhoo – Unnecessary disambiguation. There is just one blue link on the disambiguation page, so the dab page can simply be deleted. GeoffreyT2000 (talk, contribs) 02:40, 5 January 2017 (UTC) --Relisting.  — Amakuru (talk) 14:59, 12 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment: Things are not as simple as they would seem. The red-linked entry actually does have a blue link to go with it at List of islands of the Maldives. However, the spelling there (as well as in Noonu Atoll) is "Iguraidhoo" instead of "Inguraidhoo". I've been trying to track down whether they are really named differently or if there is a typo involved somewhere. The single reference for this page (from 2011) matches Wikipedia's spellings as they are at the moment. But this official Maldivian map from 2011 spells the island in the Raa Atoll (this one) as "Iguraidhoo". And then this document spells it "In'guraidhoo".
There may be just a difference in transliteration, or maybe the source here copied from us. I don't have the resources to go much further with this. I'm sure there are editors around who could help. Meanwhile, maybe we should put a hold on the move until it's clearer that we have the right name in the first place. — Gorthian (talk) 07:17, 5 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • @GeoffreyT2000: I have asked a couple of Maldivian editors for help (User:Glacious and User:CRC43). Neither edits very frequently, but they encourage messages to be left. We'll see. — Gorthian (talk) 06:12, 11 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support by default. If another article about another subject of the same name is created, then the primacy might be revisited another time. George Ho (talk) 07:49, 22 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
