The USP has a list of indicator organisms, I'm not sure what's all on the list anymore, nor what they indicate.

I know there are others, but they're not coming to me off-hand. I haven't seen the USP in a year, so...if someone has a copy and can pore through it, it might make a nice addition to this (rather small) article. Tomertalk 23:38, 4 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Oppose Indicator organisms include fungi and other non-bacterial species that are not appropriate for the indicator bacteria article. AlphaEta (talk to me) 16:43, 8 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose I am going to add today information about helminth eggs as an indicator organism used to assess the safety of sanitation systems, as they are the hardiest pathogen to kill of all. Happy to have found this page on indicator organism! EvM-Susana (talk) 11:30, 23 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
