Ancient history; this was part of the sequence of discussions which led to the renaming of this article to [[American Indian Wars][. Kevin Myers and I were participants in that discusion and in the name change; the American Indian Wars and Wars of the indigenous peoples of North America, or whatever the other article is called, have already addressed those "to dos". You're bringing them up out of context in order to justtify a {{WP:POV fork]].Skookum1 (talk) 02:44, 14 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Reason for separate article

While there is a history of conflict between Europeans and Native Americans from the time of the Vikings, and certainly from the earliest settlements in what is now the United States, there is a classic period when Indians as skilled horsemen, and possessing at least some modern weapons, approached parity in terms of military prowess and "put up a good fight". This article covers that period. The title of the article is in use by the United States Army to refer to the same period, and for the same reasons. Fred Talk 15:48, 26 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

THAT is a different article than American Indian Wars. I've reverted your POV fork as per my comments at Talk:American Indian Wars, and you should go read that article, which is about wars between the US and Native Americans and does not involve the Vikings or any other Europeans; there's a different article for that'. You were out of line here, this is supopsed to be a redirect; unless it becomes a disambiguation of some kind with American Indian Wars one of the listings.Skookum1 (talk) 02:41, 14 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
