It seems some people distinguish inchoative and inceptive verbs by whether they refer to change in state or change in activity/process, respectively. Is this a common distinction? (Also, I've seen ingressive verbs used to refer to inceptive verbs, does anyone know of an authoritative guide to terminology here?) --Kiwibird (talk) 11:20, 27 November 2008 (UTC)
Latin inchoative verbs
I'm not sure if "poscere" is an inchoativum. As far as I have learnt Latin inchoativa end in -scere and loose their "sc" in tempore perfecto. But "poscere" doesn't loose it, so it should not be classified an inchoativum. But maybe I'm wrong ... — Preceding unsigned comment added by 114.184.177.209 (talk) 00:02, 9 May 2012 (UTC)
Hindi?
If anyone happens to know about the Hindi use of inchoative verbs (as opposed to Dynamic and Active), could they please put something in the article about it? I feel like it might be helpful to have a non-European language, even if it is still IE —Determinerteeth (talk) 21:59, 30 August 2015 (UTC)
