Can we contribute something on brand identity(the message the logo wants to convey) of ICICI Bank?

Every brand has an identity which it wants to convey through its logo. The colors used in the logo are in accordance with the image it wants to build in an individual's mind. Brand identity involves associations and personifications .The company wants ease in consumer recall by the logo and the subsequent slogan. In other words; it is a way to reach customer and clarify what does the company stand for and symbolize. We can contribute what ICICI brand identity is all about keeping into consideration the logo, corporate colors used, etc. We can also describe why a particular color has been used.Reason being each color sends across a message clarifying the brand identity. why I have included Corporate Social Responsibility, Go Green initiatives and made a few other changes

The article seemed to be inclined slightly to a negative tone.ICICI Bank is one of the leading banks which has helped India build world class infrastructure institutions. These institutions are recognized and well known stock exchanges, credit rating agencies, credit bureau,et al. which cater to the requirements of the industry and a rapidly growing economy.

ICICI Bank is actively involved in Corporate Social Responsibility activity and has even started going green. This two things need a place here to present positive side of ICICI Bank thus balancing the article.

Also i have repaired a few links of its subsidiaries which were not working. Moreover, acquisitions(in case of Bank of Rajasthan and Bank of Sangli)have been referenced to a reliable and trustworthy website of Reserve Bank of India. Also,in awards two bullets were not properly aligned;hence the change.

In history, it was necessary not to miss the bankruptcy rumor and subsequent clarification by Reserve Bank of India. Also, it is a pioneer of integrating banking with technology in India. Hence, Leader of Innovation article elaborates the chronological events of banking embracing technology, current developments and how the bank is bracing up for the coming future.Nishonomics116 (talk) 22:18, 15 July 2011 (UTC)

Go green!!! for ICICI go green means asking customer to switch off paper statements and taking 110 Rs from them when they need a paper statement for loan etc. This is a bullshit bank. -sameerpawar — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.28.92.16 (talk) 23:59, 22 October 2011 (UTC)

It is surprising to note that 85% of 1080 million Indian population do not have bank accounts No Bank Accounts

Most of the people in India don't use banks, instead something related to post-office is more common.--æn↓þæµß¶-ŧ-¢ 02:00, 8 February 2007 (UTC)

Using a blog

Former and current icici employees can join now the alumni network called xICICI at linkedin ( http://www.linkedin.com/e/gis/59566/0DE07B6BB0D7), their is also a blog of the alumnis (www.xicici.blogspot.com). Should this be included on the main page. Just because it's a blog , it's rejected by the wikipedia admin. This is a non profit network of ICICI employees. 12:41, 20 March 2008 (UTC)vikaspgoel

The policy on blogs is at WP:SELFPUBLISH. It depends on what kind of content is used from these sources. Blue Rasberry 18:44, 5 June 2010 (UTC)

Bank aggression

"ICICI Bank is arguably the most aggressive bank in the country and can rightfully claim credit for the spread of retail financing in the country. Formed by the reverse merger of former ICICI with its banking subsidiary, the bank has been highly focused on expanding its retail portfolio which it believes would be the major growth driver in future." etc.

Sources? This sounds like opinion. --Skoorb 18:27, 20 May 2006 (UTC)

may be the worst bank in terms of customer service, but still it is going fast and it is aggressive and in the last few years has emerged as the second biggest bank in terms of deposits, etc. where is the POV in this? --Hydman 05:24, 27 July 2006 (UTC)

Why I created Controversy section

Even I started section 'Discontent against ICICI Bank' with some POV, which was later removed by Acad Ronin. Then I collected data from all reliable sources. Later title was changed by someone to 'Controversies'. I have lost quite a lot of money because of this bank. I don't think current contents of this section can be contested for its neutrality. All of the sources are from authentic sources. Majority of content is copied exactly from newspaper articles. I am worried about length of section compared to overall page. That's why I have created a last point where in minor incidences where in ICICI Bank recovery agents just harassed customers and there was no physical abuse or major uproar against ICICI Bank. I think wikipedia is good form of (innovative) democracy where anyone can edit pages. But ultimately we have to come to some common ground. And citations of authentic sources, news papers can be a r:Sameerpawar|Sameerpawar]] 19:29, 7 September 2007 (UTC)

Yes, Wikipedia community should Accept this section

I don't find a justifiable reason to put a section under disputed category. The facts listed are substantiated by media houses like Times of India, The Hindu and Manorama (Manorama Online), the century old newspapers of India.

Plus there are also sources like Yahoo News, Rediff, Tribune India, etc. There are no unverified claims and this section needs to be accepted as approved Wikipedia article. I have no comments about ICICI Bank, but facts need to be accepted, especially when you have solid evidence. If this section goes out of Wikipedia, as 'disputed content', it is shame for the whole community. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Princetvm (talkcontribs) 08:11, 20 September 2007 (UTC)

The article and criticims should stay

Everything is verified. So many points do not violate the neutrality of topic. Warlord88 05:09, 26 September 2007 (UTC)

The 'Controversy' section is obviously too long in relation to the entire article, and is just a series of bullet points and citations. Not very encyclopedic, but a good starting point for someone to rewrite this section into a coherent encyclopedic discussion of some of the problems that have been found to exist (not every incident needs to be detailed in the article please). Some of the incidents are described as 'allegations' and these should be removed (unless they are so notable that they deserve mention because they are part of a notable controversy) or, if the allegations are now proven, rewritten to indicate this. The article needs to be improved or we'll likely see ICICI people editing the page.Corlyon (talk) 22:06, 4 October 2008 (UTC)

ICICI Alumni Network

Few Ex ICICI employees have joined hand to create an alumni network of ICICI Bankers called xICICI. It's open for both former and current employees. The website www.xicici.com is under creation, however, blog www.xicici.blogspot.com is active.

There is also a linkedIN group http://www.linkedin.com/e/gis/59566/0DE07B6BB0D7 , suggest this site be updated on the front page. It's not a official icici network

Rumours: bankcrupt

Every "rumour" about the bank is non-notable, a WP:UNDUe. Wikipedia is NOT news. Removing section --Redtigerxyz Talk 04:16, 12 December 2008 (UTC)

content dispute

There is a very slow edit war on this article. Please discuss proposed changes. If you can agree on any points, use {{editprotected}} to request an admin to make the changes. —EncMstr (talk) 07:14, 3 March 2009 (UTC)

Notable Employees Section

This section seems irrelevant. ICICI Bank is a large company, and is bound to have notable employees. A list of a few of them does not tell anything useful about the company. The fact that some famous person worked for this company at some point may be noted in their respective wikipedia articles rather than here. Hence, I have taken the liberty to delete this section. Feel free to revert, and reply to this discussion. Geeteshgadkari (talk) 06:29, 10 November 2009 (UTC)

NPOV in controversy section

The controversy section simply includes almost every small possible issue that has occurred with the company and far exceeds the remaining article. Only major controversies should be included! JovianEye (talk) 01:36, 7 February 2010 (UTC)

Be bold and fix what you do not like. If you think you are doing something controversial, bring your specific concerns to this board. Blue Rasberry 18:46, 5 June 2010 (UTC)

Too much focus on controversies.

Considering ICICI is one of India's largest and most successful banks, it would be inappropriate to dedicate half the article to a detailed discussion of its controversies. Every bank has its positives and negatives but mentioning every single one of its legal scrapes is unnecessary. I refrained from editing the article after noticing the 'editing war' post but pls see to it that this is changed quickly. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 116.72.170.26 (talk) 14:25, 23 July 2010 (UTC)

Yes, the article is very poorly written, specially the latter half, For a 10B+ market cap bank, it should be written much better with more info Poseidon123 (talk) 09:46, 27 August 2010 (UTC)
