Source: "Along the way, the company had hoped to bring shortlisted candidates from outside to Toronto for in-person final interviews. In the end, because of continued travel restrictions and quarantine requirements, Muir became the first artistic director in the company’s 70-year history to be hired remotely, but she is no stranger to the National Ballet."
