Wine auction
Not worthy of comment in the main article, but perhaps of interest to a passing researcher, might be the auction by Messrs. Christie, Manson & Woods, on 12 December 1901, of “A portion of the Cellar of Wines of the late Lord Leconfield, removed from Petworth House, Sussex, and from Chesterfield Gardens, W.”.
