The questionable nickname

A reference is need in the first sentence of the Life section, as I do not believe the Count was actually nicknamed Cadet La Perle. The famous engraved portrait by Masson (ca. 1667) is in fact one of the rare engravings to have a nickname - Cadet à la perle - but I do not believe there is any contemporary evidence that the Count himself was so-called. Can anyone provide a reference that supports the assertion that he had that nickname?
