Shift Work

While this is not a direct hazard, many factories involve round the clock shift work which has been linked to a variety of health risks. So while this is an indirect hazard due to the chemicals in the environment, it is a direct hazard of the work hours often kept by factory workers. This too must be accounted for as the loss of circadian rhythms and resulting loss of sleep cycles are also related to increased accidents, obesity, heart disease, diabetes, early death, etc. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:14B:4480:3B0:9119:D26F:59A4:1D1D (talk) 23:11, 25 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
