Wiglaf, isn't this guy also alluded to in Hrolf Kraki or Volsungssaga? The name (other than the Halfdanes in general) rings a bell. Geogre 14:44, 15 Aug 2004 (UTC)
- There are scores of Halfdans in the sagas. I guess you're thinking of Halfdan Hvitsärk, the son of Ragnar Lodbrok.--Wiglaf 15:19, 15 Aug 2004 (UTC)
Bizarre reversions
Hvitbeinn is Old Norse for "Whiteshanks" (or "the White-legged"). OtisJimmy1 and Amplitude101 bizarrely revert the change and claim it is vandalism of the article. I am confused if this is simple trolling or where a complaint should be lodged if the reverts continue. -114.91.65.194 (talk) 14:40, 26 May 2009 (UTC)
- I would suggest leaving "Halfdan Hvitbeinn" as is in the first words of the article and then stating (with a reliable source) that "Hvitbeinn" means "White Shanks" or "white-legged". Alansohn (talk) 16:09, 26 May 2009 (UTC)
