Proper Transliteration

The name of this master musician is Somā'i (سُماعی), spelled with an "o" and not an "a." 24.151.49.62 (talk) 20:04, 16 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Is there any supporting evidence of "Somā'i" written in English? There are two Encyclopædia Iranica citations, which have two distinctly different spellings in English. This indicates more than one spelling in English. PigeonChickenFish (talk) 04:45, 17 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
