Notability

In response to the proposed 'Speedy Deletion' of this draft, I'd point out that Google Scholar gives 4,250 hits on her name: I'd say she was notable enough in her field to merit an article. AndyTheGrump (talk) 02:41, 8 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the search. No question about the notability. Also lots of well referenced transwiki articles.--Neo139 (talk) 03:36, 8 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Her name caught my eye when I was looking at 'recent changes', so I'm sure I'd seen her mentioned before somewhere, though I'm no student of the history of photography. I don't know how many of her works are available as public domain, but this article has real potential if we can find some, as a Google search for 'Grete Stern image' shows. I don't know nothing about the person in question, lol. I found his name in the new wikiproject Wikipedia:WikiProject_Women's_History and she was the only one of my country that didn't had article. So I create it. About the photos, photos license in Argentina expires after 20 years of publication. So almost everything from her can go to commons.--Neo139 (talk) 03:55, 8 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I edited this page today as part of an Art + Feminism event at the Jewish Museum, where Stern's photographs are currently on display from the permanent collection. I want to point out that there are no wikipedia entries for her partner Ellen Auerbach nor for her studio Ringl + Pit so those should be added and cross-linked at some point. I updated references to a documentary and a 2005 MoMA exhibit of her work. I think that establishes notability.Vcolsen (talk) 20:56, 11 March 2018 (UTC)--vcolsen[reply]
