Translation of Kenesset

The word kenesset in "Anshei Kenesset Hagadol" has been translated in many different ways in this article. I believe that the translation "Synagogue" is wrong. In English the word implies a building. Assembly seems to work well; I have also seen synod used. Phil burnstein (talk) 10:52, 14 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Minian * 12 tribes

Just a thought if you can source it correctly, but a straightforward read on where the 120 number came from is 10, the minian, times the sons of Israel. This is just food for research thought though... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.132.219.233 (talk) 00:00, 11 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Dates

Is not clear to me when they assembled. Is it from around 200 b.c.e to 70 c.e.? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 190.195.86.157 (talk) 03:35, 28 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
