Preliminary comments

This is already a solid article, and I can tell a lot of time and research has gone into its writing. My comments below are merely suggestions for the article's further improvement -- feel free to disagree with any of them.

• Recommend that the first lead sentence should be split up -- it's much too long right now

• Have you considered adding an infobox? I find that they help with user readability. Your preference of course though! (I know there's people on this site with strong feelings either way, and I don't want to impose my opinion).

Well, I'm one of the anti-infobox people, but my position is not as strong as it's been in the past. So I added it.  Done

• At first, Lesser was skeptical about the new show's potential its ability to teach children -- missing a word, I think

• I recommend adding a list of his publications (I've seen this done for other scholars). This would include his books, as well as any journal articles he might have written

How do you suggest I do that? I did a google search for a list, but wasn't able to find a list, since Lesser had been an emeritus professor at Harvard for many years and a list like this isn't on their website. When I searched him in Google Scholar, dozens of journal articles came up. Do you want me to list all of them? His major work was Children and Television, and this article discusses it a lot.

Hmmm... I would arguably include a list of his publications as part of criterion 3. It seems to me that this list would help indicate the extent of his research and influence within the field of psychology. I've reviewed some of the GAs in Wikipedia:Good articles/Language and literature#Writers, publishers and critics and reviewed psychologist GAs like Solomon Asch, Wilhelm Reich, and Irving Gottesman. The vast majority of these scholar biographies contain a list of their works (at least the major ones). Google Scholar seems to be a good resource here. Yes, I've looked at these already; they don't say any more or less than the sources already used here. I think that I've exhausted all the important sources about Lesser.

Actually, the Boston Globe source is the only source I found that talks about his involvement in the co-productions. Even the sources that talk specifically about them don't mention him or his involvement, which I'm sure that was part of his job as head researcher for the SW.

Hmmm...I've done some searching too, and while I've found pretty good coverage of the series' development in other countries, not much is there on Lesser's precise involvement. Eh, c'est la vie. Ruby 2010/2013 02:28, 11 January 2014 (UTC)
