Conflicting statements

One one hand, we have the sentence

Secretary of State Henry Kissinger, who oversaw the return of Bacon's remains, acknowledged him as a mercenary.[12][13][14]

On the other hand, we have the sentence

George Bacon III's remains were never recovered.

So were the remains recovered or not? Kindzmarauli (talk) 18:23, 11 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I was wondering that as well. Georgejdorner, can you shed light on this? Kevin Rutherford (talk) 20:39, 11 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Now fixed. Kindzmarauli (talk) 21:37, 11 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Scholarship for George Washington Bacon III

I am pretty sure the information you have on the scholarship are incorrect. I was married to his sister Gail for 17 years and I was unaware of any scholarship in his memory.

"especially considering that MACV-SOG's casualty rate exceeded 100%"

This makes no sense, in fact this whole article is not very good at all and reads like a melodrama. Most of the information comes from a website called sofrep.com which is subscription only. No other resources are listed to verify the veracity of this part of the entry.
