The link from California Motorcycle Company in this sentence leads to the Indian Motocycle (sic) Manufacturing Company page, but from reading that page and the page for the California Motor Company (there is no page for any "California Motorcycle Company") it appears there was no connection between the two companies. While the Indian Motorcycle Manufacturing Company was based in Springfield, Mass, the California Motor Company was based in San Francisco, Ca and was bought by Consolidated Manufacturing who moved the machinery to Toledo, Ohio, where they manufactured Yale/California and then Yale motorcycles. Consolidated Manufacturing stopped making motorcycles in 1915.
