I expanded to a disambiguation page

'Genetic analysis' was being re-directed to 'Genetic testing' (!) only, so I expanded the page from the simple redirect and did a series of edits--but I just noticed I was not logged in. So here is my signature. Am now going to all the linked pages (most or maybe none of which should have been linked to 'genetic testing') to check for further disambiguation. But this probably needs a full article

I'm beginning to feel that a humble disambiguation page is turning into a very concentrated and not particularly adequate description of... genetics. "Genetic analysis" probably needs its own article, maybe with three sections--a section with links based on analyses tied to classical genetics, a section tied to modern ("reverse") genetics, and maybe a section on analysis of mitochondrial DNA, which strikes me as a bit of an outlier to the above, though I won't argue with someone who really knows. And there should be a disambiguation link at the top of the page for people who really want the article on genetic testing.

But an interested layman like me is probably not the one to write the article.

Again, I started this because all links to "genetic analysis" redirected to "genetic testing." Doprendek (talk) 01:13, 11 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Needs discussion of recombination and complementation

It seems to me that you can't discuss genetic analysis without mentioning recombination and complementation. I'll try to work on this when I get time. John Mackenzie Burke (talk) 16:25, 21 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
