Non European Gender Binary Systems

Are 9 different examples of gender binary systems needed or is this a little too much? I feel like it dominates the article. Troll j1 (talk) 17:00, 4 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Gender Violence

This section could use more information. Troll j1 (talk) 16:56, 4 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Brazil Gender Variance

Is anyone still editing this? I signed up on wikipedia exclusively because the gender variance explanation about how things work in Brazil is completely wrong. I am brazilian, and I have changed my gender, so I know very clearly what the borders around here are. If you aren't born in the gender you present as currently, either people regonize you completely as someone from that gender, or they think of you as a homossexual. There is no "man and not-man" classification like it is presented in this article. It is completely binnary. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Maiara Szepilowski (talkcontribs) 20:26, 9 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hey we were working on finding pictures, tried to get some from a few other pages pertaining to some of the sections. Any picture additions will be appreciated - Hambone75 (talk)

Merger from Alternative gender systems

Gendered violence section

The Gendered violence section is here as a result of the merge from Alternative gender systems. Looking at it again, it's written pretty POV ("easily overlooked", "often underlies the motives for gendered violence", etc.). This isn't my area of expertise, so I'm hesitant to attempt a fix myself. Lagrange613 (talk) 21:45, 21 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

POV

The article currently reads more as a "deviations from Western binary", rather that "various gender systems in different cultures". Would anyone care to correct this? If not, I'll make a couple of edits in the next few days. Hope that is fine with the authors. Cosainsé (talk) 03:15, 16 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, it seems to be an alternative article to gender binary, which seems to be due to the merger from Alternative gender systems. The broad scope now omits gender binary, western cultures and Europe in the body (apart from a spurious categorisation of Italy not being in Europe?!). This is very poor, as the result is a complete failure of WP:BALANCE/WP:WEIGHT, almost a WP:POVFORK of gender binary and I've tagged it. Widefox; talk 14:33, 21 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

"Femminielli is a slur"

The Naples and Southern Italy section currently begins:

"Femminielli [...] is a slur..."

Is this correct? Seems like it might be vandalized, because the rest of the section assures the reader that Femminielli is not a stigmatized term. 2604:2D80:E594:3800:8D69:6715:E495:4E0C (talk) 13:25, 27 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
