Useful channels

What is the definition of a useful channel? --Spook (my talk | my contribs) 10:55, 12 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'd say "useful" in terms of user popularity TunkeyMicket 00:47, 14 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I wouldn't call idlerpg usefull. #g4tv and startrek20 are usefull Loompyloompy313 02:00, 15 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Maybe it'd be best if it was renamed to and only contained Official Channels? "Useful" is rather biased. For instance, #g4tv and #startrek20 seem rather useless to me, since I've never been in them. To be honest, I don't hang out in any of the "Other Useful Channels"… --BarkerJr 02:24, 15 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Two sections? Useful and Most Popular? I'll go ahead and section them off as such. TunkeyMicket 22:46, 15 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I'd add in #startrek20, since when Star Trek 2.0 is on, it ususally heavily populated

Bot Services

Removed the bot services section due to none of the channels having official sanction and a few of the channels having little importance to the entire network. ClanBots could possibly remain, the rest should not. TunkeyMicket 14:37, 20 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Known attacks

Should we add in a list of known attacks to GameSurge servers. Around 20:51 today, amost everyone was in a netsplit. Should we? Loompyloompy313 02:10, 9 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

IRC networks are attacked constantly, for various reasons. I don't see why it should be noted in the article as such attacks aren't limited to any single network.
The last MAJOR network breakdown was when that 'variant' kid got pissed off (was around a year ago if I recall) and the whole network was unstable for months.
Also, you could have just been on the far side of a split. That will happen a lot if you use NuclearFallout. :) Kurt 07:16, 11 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Neutral issues

The history of the Network comes off as in Donald owned the servers associated with the network. Unfortunately due to the lack of popularity of Donald, the real people who owned those servers didn't follow him to his now useless network. There was no missleading, I was well aware of the situation. In fact, there was no misleading anyone, people remained on the servers that chose to keep themselves associated with the people behind Gamesurge. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 156.34.199.145 (talk) 4:25, 11 April 2008 (UTC)

This was resolved back in April. Removed POV template. --BarkerJr (talk) 05:22, 3 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
