Galfrid and Godfrid : two different names
Galfridus and God(e)fridus / Godofridus / God(e)fredus / Godofredus are two different names. The Germanic name Galfrid is composed of the two elements ga(i)l / ge(i)l ("gay, merry") [1] and frid / fred ("protection, peace") ; the Germanic name Godfrid is composed of the two elements god ("god") and frid / fred ("protection, peace").--2001:861:55C1:B100:640A:3B7A:14FD:AB01 (talk) 10:30, 10 September 2021 (UTC)
