Should mention xylose (see glyconutrients) as excellent for mouth care and aspartame as nasty. Need for xylose (xylitol) chewing gum without aspartame. I think ... sells it online.

Bad Breath

The article indicates that mint-flavored gum may help treat bad breath, but if I'm not mistaken, all flavors of gum are somewhat effective in treating halitosis because they contribute to the production of saliva, which moistens the mouth and may help remove substances that facilitate the production of odor-producing substances. I'm not certain the type of flavoring used in a gum may have any effect on bad breath although certain kinds of flavoring could possibly be more effective in masking bad breath. 98.176.255.127 (talk) 19:24, 10 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
