"Industrial Revolution"

Strictly speaking, the French had the "French Revolution", and the article should perhaps point out the difference between the English and the French one. One of the reasons that antique / furniture collectors in England love and buy French furniture is because artisan culture (which suffered in England due to the Industrial Revolution) thrived in France in spite of the French Revloution: the culture of making fine individually crafted pieces still existed in France up to and even beyond the second world war. After the French revolution people did not really end up becoming industrialised in the same way as they did in England. Ask any decent English antique dealer: they'll invariably tell you that the prevalence of fine French furniture is largely due to the fact that "they didn't have an industrial revolution". Perhaps some if this is worth mentioning in the article, or perhaps someone should write a "French Provincial Furniture" article.
