Merger proposal

I propose that Frederick William University (disambiguation) be merged into Friedrich Wilhelm University. Both disambiguation pages serve the same reason. Frederick William University is not as detailled and contains a mistake, since the Berlin university is linked to Frederick William University insteand of the correct Humboldt University of Berlin (I proposed the first for deletion). Well, the article about the Frederick William University wasn't a disambiguation page until you deleted it. Imho we should keep the article. After WWII there have been two successors: FU Berlin and HU Berlin. Hegel, Marx, and Heine haven't studied at Humboldt. --Kolja21 (talk) 21:23, 28 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, they did. That is the generally accepted interpretation. What is debated is wether such notable persons should be considered alumni of FU as well. I will once again start a deletion proposal for Frederick William University and will push forward the merger here (I want to stress that the merger considers only Frederick William University (disambiguation) and Friedrich Wilhelm University. Discussion is welcome. Zwerg Nase (talk) 21:29, 28 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
You can start a deletion discussion. "Proposed deletion" is the wrong template because: "The article may be deleted if this message remains in place for seven days." --Kolja21 (talk) 21:43, 28 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Just realized that. I did so now, feel welcomed to contribute. Zwerg Nase (talk) 21:49, 28 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I decided to WP:FIXIT and redirect this disambiguation page to the other disambiguation page. It is senseless to have two. If there is a problem with the one remaining page, I suggest coming to a consensus about how to fix it, rather than having two disambiguation pages. Remes (talk) 00:29, 11 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
