I just consolidated the references and cleaned up a couple of them.

Review page contents and structure

This article focuses on national and international approaches to personal financial literacy education programmes. There is opportunity to develop more content on the nature of financial literacy, its place in the context of “literacy” generally and its application to investment, accounting, governance and personal finance. I will add to my “to do” list but would welcome comments and suggestions about this approach. Toby64 (talk) 08:13, 19 December 2020 (UTC). Financial literacy involves equipping students with the necessary knowledge, skills, and behaviors to make informed decisions for effective financial management.[reply]

OK — I've started this with a new section on definitions of financial literacy which takes account of the broad range and scope of skills, knowledge, attitudes, behaviours and actions. The references may need tidying up (as I'm not a Wiki expert) and there is more developement required, but it's a start. Toby64 (talk) 10:59, 25 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
The next job is to make clear distinctions between:
— financial literacy
— financial education programmes
— surveys of financial literacy
Currently, the article is a bit of a mishmash of all three without being clear that they are different concepts. Toby64 (talk) 06:59, 24 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Content addition and structure

Hi Fellow reviewers,

I have added the more authenticate deification of Financial literacy from a personal financial planning perspective by adding citations and external links on top of that. This article also has a gap in financial literacy measures from the personal financial planning perspective in the academic research section. I have also just introduced the concept of objective and subjective financial literacy and how one can measure it. Apart from that, I have also updated the document with the citation style, updated the hyperlinks, and deleted some links and citations that did not work. I have also discussed some of the surveys that measure financial literacy and explain it to individuals in the United States, like the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), National Financial Capability Study (NFCS), and Understanding American Study (UAS).
