Date of birth

Is there any source for the date of birth given here? I was checking into this while working on costumbrismo. Alfonso M. Escudero, Costumbrismo Il. Literatura Hispanoamericana, Ediciones Rialp S.A. Gran Enciclopedia Rialp, 1991, says 1808–1868; I'm sure he's wrong about the death date, so I don't know if we should take him seriously about the birth date (though that would usually be a reliable source). Fermín Toro, Biografías y Vidas (not the most scholarly of sites, but generally decent) says 1806–1865. Pedro Díaz Seijas, Literatura Venezolana - Fermín Toro says 1807-1865, and makes a case for why 1808 is improbable. - Jmabel | Talk 00:51, 22 January 2010 (UTC)

Typos.

There are a couple of syntax errors in this article. For example, in one part it states "moral streght." This should be written as "moral strength." In another part, it says, "He is remember..." It should read "He is remembered..."
