Causes section is incorrect

The causes section is incorrect. It lists unrelated diseases that have similar symptoms. The true cause of FLUTD is unknown. See Ettinger's Veterinary Internal Medicine text or www.veterinarypartner.com search for FLUTD for specifics. Leotohill 04:00, 22 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

FLUTD cat owners

My cat almost died from feline lower urinary tract disease, he's on a life diet now. I'll try to add to the article as I see needed, especially in treatment and detection. 67.11.138.50 08:36, 13 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Stress as a risk factor

The risk factors section lists a number of items but does not include stress. The vets I have spoken to (one of our cats has just had a blockage) seem to rate stress fairly highly as a contributor, seemingly as high as diet in seriousness. Has there been recent research to suggest stress is less a factor and vets are commonly holding outdated views or should stress be added to the article as a risk factor? Alternately, is stress considered a general risk factor for all conditions in felines and thus isn't worth mentioning specifically for every condition?
