Fauci → Fauci (surname) – Surname page with precisely two subjects, one of whom I would venture to say is (now) the clear primary topic of the term. I had initially thought to delete this, but I suppose some etymological information might be found to add to this as a surname page. In any case, move this title to redirect to Anthony Fauci. - Strongest possible oppose based on that rationale. Wikipedia is WP:NOTNEWS and a particular individual who is only recently in the public arena significantly is antithetical to our long-term management of this encyclopedia. This is not an appropriate use of a WP:PRIMARYREDIRECT as no one addresses this person as simply "Fauci". Please stop letting the moral panic surrounding this pandemic affect good judgement. - If you look at the surname page, there is literally ONLY ONE other person on English Wikipedia with that name at all. And: one is very, very prominent around the world right now – and one who readers are very, very often searching for (and have been, even way before the pandemic). - WP:NOTNEWS in this context is intended to apply to those who may be experiencing a temporary bout of publicity, and will later fade into a level of obscurity comparable to other topics with that name. - Now you're WP:CRYSTALBALLing. And no one has addressed my point that this person is not in general use ever referred to as just "Fauci" in the way that, say, Einstein is. - Literally the entire first page of Google News hits is an entire page of headlines addressing the subject as just "Fauci":

- News headlines often have to make use of limited space to get their points across, and what you've done is just WP:CHERRYPICK a few. WP:TITLES is about how the subject is introduced in sentence form, and every single one of your examples introduces him as "(Dr.) Anthony Fauci", not using a WP:MONONYM. -- Netoholic @ 20:31, 11 April 2020 (UTC)

- Strong support Fauci is also well known as a presidential adviser since the Reagan administration and his response to the HIV/AIDS crisis in the late 80's was also significant. His lasting significance is obvious. Doing a google books search on "Fauci" even excluding books where he is an author, makes it crystal clear that he was the primary topic long before the novel coronavirus existed. buidhe 22:03, 9 April 2020 (UTC)

If you look at the surname page, there is literally ONLY ONE other person on English Wikipedia with that name at all. - Comment - for what it's worth, there are at least 5 additional individuals with the surname Fauci in Wikidata. Most of them have wiki pages in Italian. I have no comment on if they would meet enWiki notability requirements. TJMSmith (talk) 01:39, 10 April 2020 (UTC)

On the basis of the comment directly above, I just interwiki-linked the English Wikipedia Fauci page with the Italian Wikipedia Fauci page and the only person listed there is Anthony Fauci. Once the English page is moved to Fauci (surname), I will leave to others the decision whether this interwiki link should remain. On German Wikipedia, Fauci has been a redirect to Anthony Fauci since his entry's creation in April 2011 (English Wikipedia's entry was created in November 2004). —Roman Spinner (talk • contribs) 03:20, 10 April 2020 (UTC)

Meaning of FAUCI
It does NOT mean sickle at all. FA L C E means sickle !!! FAUCI means big jaws or mouth of a
" dangerous animal " like a wolf or a lion !!!

Meaning of FAUCI: Italian or Sicilian?
