Spelling

I am the guy who changed Ciocărlia to Ciocârlia. I have seen the band's disks and they spell their band's name with "ă". So, Takwish, your changes are correct. Sorry ;-).

Corected Ciocărlia to Ciocârlia. Yes this is the name of a bird.

I've undone your change. Regardless of the correct spelling of the name of the bird, the band spells their name with 'ă.' -- Takwish | Talk 16:36, 11 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

On their website and their albums, the name of the band is spelled 'Fanfare Ciocărlia,' not 'Fanfare Ciocârlia,' as this entry is spelled. Which is correct? -- Takwish 16:59, 26 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know Romanian, but the word for lark is evidently Ciocârlie. "Ciocărlia" may not be the correct spelling of the word for "song of the lark," but it is the spelling that is consistently used by the band in their name. Unless someone offers a good reason not to do so, I will be changing the name of this article to "Fanfare Ciocărlia" at the end of this week. -- Takwish 04:52, 7 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
This has been done. -- Takwish 22:31, 9 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I've added Ciocârlia as alternate spelling. That's how the band is known in Romania. I figure Ciocărlia must be a regional form of the word, used (only) in the area of the band's hometown. --Disconnect 6 11:49, 12 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Crăciun Ivancea

Is Crăciun Ivancea the same person as Daniel Ivancea? -- Takwish 17:48, 26 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm assuming not. -- Takwish 04:46, 7 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

No Craciun Ivancea is not the same person as Dan Ionel Ivancea... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.187.84.90 (talk) 17:05, 11 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ciocârlia

is not the Romanian word for the song of the skylark, but for the bird itself. MerryXIV 20:22, 29 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
