staining?

This is a problem that seems pervasive throughout wikipedia and textbooks. When someone writes "light-staining cells", the question is "When stained with what and under what conditions?" Could someone please elaborate on the stain used and method to visualize extraglomerular mesangial cells as "light-staining cells"? --98.70.62.167 (talk) 00:15, 15 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

which is it

"Lacis cells form the juxtaglomerular apparatus in combination with two other types of cells: the macula densa of the distal convoluted tubule and Juxtaglomerular cells of the afferent arteriole."
Is the macula densa a structure or a cell type? This bit of text seems to indicate that it is a type of cell; this is incorrect. --98.70.62.167 (talk) 00:19, 15 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
