This is, as far as I know the first and only version available in any Wikipedia in any language explaining who XV Century Flemish traveler to the West Coast of Africa as far down as actual Ghana, Benin and Nigeria, was.
The first printed version in the Nord French language of the XVI Century was published in a Hispanic Historical Studies "privately printed" Magazine by Prof. Foulché-Delbosc in the last quarter of the XIX Century, a Portuguese translation having been printed over 100 years later followed by a Spanish version in the late nineties of the XX Century, too, in a rather innaccesible to the General Public Meeting or Congress of French Spanish teachers or philologists.
It is about time, I believe, Eustache de la Fosse travel, some 25 years earlier than the discovery of America , is better known, in spite of never having been published till now in the XX Century Latin for trade and Science language we call the English Language, more accessible to hundreds of millions of people in the world, including Russians, Indians, Japanese, Chinese, Indonesians and many cultured European and American people speaking another first language, no neccessarily English, like myself.
Some people think Wikipedia should be some sort of Encyclopedia telling children and Librarians, as quickly and as briefly as possible, who did what, when and perhaps for what reasons.
But, obviously, it is no the same a reminder telling you the year Kings Charles I of England or Louis XVI of France where publicily executed than describing someone purchasing and selling black slaves from Africa to African masters some 25 years before Columbus trip to America, too.
I find it very flattering, albeit not unusual, to venture I have violated copyrights of former work by someone. This is not so at all. I have spent my life teaching rather involved progresses in science to university sophomore students and I accept it as a compliment however.
